Greenman Stores Company records 1910-1937 (bulk 1935-1937).

Contents: two daybooks for The Greenman Stores which give daily accounts for the years 1935 through 1937. The stores were located at 1219 Pearl St. and 1134 13th St., Boulder, Colorado. The collection also contains two Greenman's University Store advertisements, a film processing order envelope dated 1914 and a copy of The Improvement of Boulder Colorado by Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr.

In 1911 he opened a branch at 1134 13th St. on the Hill, which was operated by his brother, Ernest. Ernest worked at that store as manager until 1945, when, after Alfred's death, the store was sold to Eb Smith. Ernest continued to work there, operating a check cashing service for University of Colorado students, until his retirement in 1955. He died 4 March 1960. Alfred A. Greenman came to Boulder in 1890.
